Kenya Voluntary Development Association (KVDA) aims to promote peace, understanding, justice and development among Kenyans and within the international community. For this purpose the association recruits young men and women from diverse ethnic, national and educational backgrounds around the world, to facilitate participatory development education among marginalized communities and empowers such community groups to become self-reliant. Projects are mainly focused on education and social work and can include work in educational facilities, health centres and hospitals (social work and health care delivery), Kiswahili language training is available to volunteers at a cost.
