Mardi Himal base camp trek is situated in the eastern part of the Annapurna Himalayan Range. It is one of the best cultural treks in Annapurna region which is still well-preserved and is a hidden gem of the Annapurna region. Mardi Himal base camp trek is the least-visited trekking in the region where you will experience real local culture along with great mountain panoramas of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna south and Hiunchuli.

Mardi Himal base camp trek is a route where you hardly meet other tourists. Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours connects you with the friendly local people and offers homestays along the trek. It has just been opened as a hunting lodge trek and you will have no problem with your food and lodging, but you will live and eat like the locals. The lodging and food is not fancy like on other trails of the Annapurna trek.

Mardi Himal trek can be attempted by inexperienced trekkers too; it’s a relatively easy trek. Mardi Himal base camp trek pleases you by the beauty of the flora and fauna. You will be walking through the dense forest, beautiful villages, amazing landscapes, wildlife, panoramic mountain views and extraordinary forests of Rhododendron flowers.

Mardi Himal base camp trek starts from 800 meters at Phedi and leads you up to 3580 metres,  offering beautiful views of the entire Annapurna range.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Pick up and transfer to the hotel. Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (World Heritage Sites). Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. Day 04: Pokhara to Phedi. Drive and trek to Deurali, a 5-hour trek. Day 05: Deurali to forest Camp (3050 m), a 6- to 7-hour trek. Day 06: Forest Camp to High Camp (3900 m), a 6- to 7-hour trek. Day 07: Day trip to viewpoint or base camp and back to High Camp. Day 08: High Camp to Sidhing (3550 m), a 6-hour trek. Day 09: Sidhing to Lwang (1700m), a 5-hour trek. Day 10: Lwang to Phedi, a 6-hour trek and drive to Pokhara. Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu. Day 12: Transfer to Airport.
